What is LithIQ? ▾

LithIQ is a predictive groundwater intelligence platform built on 700,000+ Texas well reports from the TWDB Submitted Drillers Report database. It uses spatial modeling to predict subsurface conditions at any location in Texas before drilling begins.

How it works ▾

1Select a county and drop a pin on your target location by clicking the map or entering coordinates.

2LithIQ finds the nearest historical wells and applies distance-weighted spatial modeling to predict subsurface conditions.

3The predicted lithology column, water depth, and yield are returned based on real driller observations from nearby wells.

4Yield map — toggle the yield map button on the map to color every well dot by its historically reported yield. Green = high water production, red = low or marginal. Use this to visually identify productive zones in your county before running a prediction.
